Hurricane
Concept
Hurricane reveals the poignant, yet often overlooked, narrative of a group of courageous Polish pilots who valiantly combat in the skies over England during World War II. Their mission extended beyond the defense of Great Britain against Nazi aggression; it was a fight to preserve the very essence of Poland, a nation that had existed in its modern form for scarcely two decades before being engulfed by the dual threats of Germany and Russia.
Armed with the nearly obsolete Hurricane aircraft and clad in RAF blue uniforms, these pilots embodied the spirit of a nation striving to survive. Filmed in and around London and the Home Counties, Hurricane was nominated for a British Film Designers Guild award for Best Design of a Period Film.
